Religious Education

Religious Education is at the heart of everything we do at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. Our RE curriculum is carefully planned to help children grow in knowledge, understanding, and love of God, while deepening their appreciation of the richness of the Catholic faith.

Through high‑quality teaching, prayer, scripture, and reflection, pupils learn about the life and teachings of Jesus, the traditions of the Church, and the ways in which faith guides us to live with compassion, justice, and respect.

The RE policy emphasises our commitment to providing a broad and engaging curriculum that includes learning about other world faiths, celebrating the liturgical year, and encouraging children to make meaningful links between Gospel values and their own lives.

As a school community, we aim to nurture thoughtful, reflective, and spiritually aware young people who understand their role in building a kinder and more hopeful world.

Our Parish priests, both Fr Alan and Fr John, support the teaching of RE throughout the school.
